FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we’ve received from our customers. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, please reach out and we will get back to you shortly.
Q: DO YOU DELIVER?
A: Unfortunately, no. We have looked into partnering with companies such as Goldbelly, but have not been able to find anyone who can meet our requirements. Thermal shipping bags and boxes for items that need to be refrigerated are expensive for a small business. Also, we feel we lose quality control as freshness is lost during freezing and shipping time.
Q: WOULD I HAVE TO STAY IN LINE IF I ALREADY PRE ORDERED?
A: Yes. We are a small company, with only a few registers, limited staff, and one main door. Logistically it’s very difficult to facilitate this request. However, on most Saturdays and major holidays we will open a side door for pre-orders when we have the extra staffing to triage the line outside.
Q: DOES THE BURNT ALMOND CAKE HAVE PEANUTS, ALCOHOL, OR GELATIN IN THE INGREDIENTS?
A: No.
Q: DO YOU MAKE ANY SUGAR FREE, GLUTEN FREE, OR VEGAN ITEMS?
A: We do not. There are so many good, specialty bakeries in the area doing amazing things with these requests. We keep to what do well, and we let them do what they do well.
Q: IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A GENDER REVEAL BURNT ALMOND CAKE?
A: Absolutely. Give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss what you would like done.
Q: CAN YOU PRINT AN EDIBLE IMAGE ON THE CAKE?
A: We do not. But, you can bring us an edible image and we will be happy to put in on your cake.
Q: ABOUT HOW LONG DO YOUR CAKES LAST?
A: Depends on a lot of variables. As a general rule of thumb, 1 week. Items with custard and cream should be refrigerated and then removed about an hour before you would like to eat it (taste is perfect around room temperature). The more air-tight the container, the longer it will last. Tupperware, Cake Displays, and Plastic Wrap are all good ways to extend the life of your cakes.
Q: HOW EARLY IN ADVANCE CAN YOU CALL TO PRE-ORDER?
A: Ordering online can be done 48 hours in advance. If you call over the phone, you only need to call us the day before you need it. The exception is wedding cakes. We do need 2 weeks for wedding cakes.
Q: DO YOU MAKE WEDDING CAKES?
A: We do. As long as we have 2 weeks notice give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss what you would like done.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A: We provide a full return to any order cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled pickup. Wedding Cakes order require a 2 week cancellation.
Q: I FORGOT TO PICK UP MY ORDER. CAN I STILL COME GET IT?
A: If you forgot to pick up your order please call us that same day if possible. We will keep all orders for one day. After which the product will be donated to local charity.
Q: CAN I GET A REFUND IF MY ORDER WAS DONATED BECAUSE I DIDNT PICK IT UP?
A: We understand that life can get busy, and sometimes things slip through the cracks. However, we are not able to offer refunds for orders that were not picked up by the agreed-upon date and were subsequently donated.
When you place an order with us, we begin preparing it on that scheduled day, from sourcing fresh ingredients to dedicating staff time, and covering the cost of utilities, insurance, etc. to bring your order to life. These costs are incurred regardless of whether the item is picked up.
To help reduce waste and serve our community, any unclaimed items are donated to local charities the two days after the scheduled pickup. We hope you understand that offering refunds in these situations would result in a financial loss for the bakery.
